Buildings, Bridges, and Monuments will Light Up FRAXA Teal on July 22, 2020
2019 was an outstanding year in raising awareness for Fragile X syndrome. Across the US and Canada, a total of 21 landmarks were lit up in FRAXA teal. This drew awareness to all those affected by Fragile X syndrome as well as our FRAXA researchers who work hard to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Fragile X.
This year, on Fragile X Awareness Day, a growing number of buildings, bridges, and monuments — including Niagara Falls — will be illuminated in teal to spread the word about Fragile X and celebrate our community. Although we may not be able to gather in groups this year, we still encourage you to briefly visit or drive by lighting displays and share your experience with us.
We are so thankful for our volunteers who have been working to ensure that even more sites are lit up teal. Every year we look forward to Fragile X Awareness Day. This year we are putting an even stronger emphasis on raising awareness and want you to share your participation in the #TealTakeover. Spread the word and plan to come celebrate one of the many lightings on July 22. If you cannot attend one of the displays, please follow us here, on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
