This GivingTuesday you have the opportunity to quadruple your gift and to fund 4 more FRAXA Research Fellowships in 2022.
FRAXA needs to raise $50,000 on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 to maximize the match. Every gift, no matter what size, gets us closer!
FRAXA supporters have combined their efforts to provide a 3:1 match for the first $50,000 raised on GivingTuesday. One gift can quadruple your impact and help fund 4 more research fellowships! FRAXA extends a heartfelt thanks to our generous supporters and invites you to celebrate and honor special people and moments with your gifts.
FRAXA’s mission is to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Fragile X syndrome. On GivingTuesday we ask you to quadruple your investment in FRAXA’s life-changing work. Your gift brings hope to the many affected by Fragile X syndrome.
Give to FRAXA and give hope.
Matching Challenges
We are grateful to our team of FRAXA supporters who have combined their efforts for this 3:1 match. To inspire giving, several individuals and groups have created challenges for the community, which are noted below. We thank them for their incredible kindness.
The Fragile X Alliance of Ohio dedicated their match in honor of Gary C Koltookian sharing the following tribute to Gary with us: To honor the memory of Gary C. Koltookian, father of their board president, the Fragile X Alliance of Ohio will match contributions up to $10,000 for GivingTuesday! Gary was a long-time supporter of FRAXA, always praying their work would help his grandchildren. He loved his wife, Beverly, and his family above all else. He always showed his grandchildren affection, Julie and Alex “The Little King”, both of whom have Fragile X syndrome. We miss his love and sense of humor every day.
They are joined by The Fragile X Association of Southern California who have contributed $2,500 in matching funds in honor of those caring for individuals with Fragile X. The generosity and commitment to the community of these groups inspire us.
In recognition of the 30th Anniversary of discovery of the FMR1 gene, the gene responsible for Fragile X syndrome by Drs. Stephen Warren, Ben Oostra, and David Nelson, The Carey and Cheryl Cooper family has committed $33,000 to match your GivingTuesday gift and further advance Fragile X research.
Their belief in our mission motivates us as we work to accelerate research to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Fragile X.
In honor of 25 years of Patrick’s PALS, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and group of individuals who spread awareness for Fragile X, Jessica Haugen and Jeff Eliason, managers of Larry’s Legends, and Saša Zorović have come together to provide a matching gift of $35,000 for GivingTuesday!
FRAXA is proud to celebrate 25 years of its longest running fundraiser, Patrick’s PALS! Fragile X parent and FRAXA board member Jim Versbow has proven through Patrick’s PALS that you can build a network around your children that will love and support them throughout their life. Named after his son, Patrick’s PALS have raised over $1.5 million for Fragile X research since 1996!
Fragile X parent and FRAXA board member, Jessica Haugen and Jeff Eliason manage Larry’s Legends, a fellow Fragile X parent-run organization contributing $25,000 for this GivingTuesday match. Saša Zorović, Fragile X parent and FRAXA board member is joining in to honor 25 years of Patrick’s PALS with a $10,000 gift match.
